This guide supports nurses who work with women and gender diverse individuals living with chronic pain.
This educational guide and the embedded resources were developed by researchers at the Centre of Excellence for Women’s Health in a project called Chronic Pain and Prescription Opioid Use: Translating Women’s Experiences into Resources for Health Care Providers, and was updated in 2026 to specifically support nurses working with women and gender diverse individuals with chronic pain.
